Fans of Up dharma Down await the band's sophomore effort with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. The question on most everyone's minds being -- what comes next? "Fragmented," released in 2006, was a huge success. Well, huge in the sense that all this young band really wanted was to be heard.

"We were grateful to have any kind of audience at all," shares vocalist Armi Millare. But luckily under the wing of Terno Recordings, their unique mix of pop, post-rock, and electronic music was well-received around the country, even reaching parts on the other side of the globe.

But back to the present and the here and now - we find the band about to launch their much-anticipated album, "Bipolar."

"Each song here is different in character and story," says bassist Paul Yap.

The group tried not to think of the sophomore slump curse. Instead, they focused on creating music they enjoyed playing. The end result is something familiar but different.

"We like to think of it as a new first album," adds guitarist Carlos Tañada.

Join Up dharma Down as they launch Bipolar on October 24, 2008, 8pm at the Hexagon Lounge, 4th floor of the RCBC Plaza, Ayala Avenue corner Buendia,  in Makati City. The band will perform all songs from the 14 track album plus some of the older band favorites.

Just P150 gets you in with a drink, while P500 gets you in with a drink PLUS a limited edition Bipolar CD designed by Ean Mayor and Everywhere We Shoot!. It includes a DVD of "On Either Side," a 40-minute documentary directed by Keith Tan, offering viewers a peek into how the album was made and some insights from the band members.

Word is only 1,000 limited edition copies were pressed.

"I'm happy and surprised with how it turned out," says drummer Ean Mayor, "and excited na kami para sa 24th!"
