Video: The Eraserheads run through "Sembreak" Looks like all is set for the big show tonight. The Eraserheads cranked up for their soundcheck in the wee hours of the morning at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field. Luckily director and man-about-town Quark Henares was there a shot some intriguing video of the 'Heads doing some jams based on DavidBowie's "Ziggy Stardust" and their own "Sembreak". We monitored some eyewitness reports last night of the soundcheck, held early Saturday morning at around 2am. And who wouldn't get goose bumps readingreports like these?
From Mark Escueta of Rivermaya, posting on the Rivermaya mailing list: By accident... nakatambay kami ni Aia sa soundcheck ng eheads kanina (yup, 2am sila nag sound check!). Pauwi na kami galing sa gig sa Magnet nung narinig namin na may umutugtog sa malayo, yun pala sila na nga. Ang sayang makita silang sama-sama sa isang stage ulit, nakakakilabot. Sana makapunta kayong lahat mamayang gabi, siguradong paos kayong lahat kinabukasan! :) Mabuhay ang Eraserheads.
From Karin Araneta, former eHeads manager, by SMS:
I can see the E on the biiiiig screen. Grabe the stage. Grabbbbeeeeee.
From Quark Henares, on the commentary section of his YouTube pages:
As they came onstage and techs were fixing and fiddling the stuff around them, Ely starts strumming David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust". Buddy follows suit, and Raimund comes in. Amazing, amazing.
After doing Ziggy Stardust, some adjustments are made and Ely starts doing the opening rifts of one of my favorite Eheads songs. You can actually hear me proclaiming "wow" when it begins. |
